The Omega Seamaster was already an icon before it became 007’s signature watch in 1993, but its status as the super spy’s favorite accessory has only further cemented its legacy.

But that doesn’t mean Omega is coasting on its cinematic cachet. The Swiss luxury watch brand’s new black ceramic and titanium Seamaster Diver 300M proves they’re taking the Seamaster to new depths.

The latest model combines precise Seamaster construction with a uniquely 21st century combination of materials in a strikingly elegant package. In the Omega tradition, this Diver 300M is equally well-suited to black tie functions and deep sea excursions.

The watch is a generously-sized 43.5 mm with a brushed black ceramic case and virtually invulnerable grade 5 titanium caseback. The same grade titanium makes up the bezel, which is accented by black ceramic ring and white enameled diving scale.

With the Diver 300M’s signature waves engraved on the brushed black ceramic dial it’s enough to call it good, but this 300M stands apart from others in that the waves are raised, creating a striking effect Omega calls «positive relief.»

Omega didn’t stint on style with the titanium caseback. It incorporates the Naiad Lock system which keeps the lettering in perfect relief for the life of the timepiece. The sapphire crystal gives a peek at the Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, which has, according to Omega, been «tested and certified by METAS at the industry’s highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic resistance.»

This gorgeous Seamaster upgrade will be available sometime in Spring 2019 for $8,100. You can learn more about the collection  here.
