Each Sunday, Best Buy resets its weekly sale and offers discounts on a whole new batch of PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch games. This week’s ad is now available, so let’s take a look at what games and hardware we can save money on between now and January 13.
A nice selection of Nintendo Switch games have gotten discounts (a rare event if ever there was one). For $42 each, you can grab digital versions of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, and Splatoon 2. And for those who enjoy a good retro-style RPG, you’re not likely to find a more gorgeous one than Octopath Traveler, which is also on sale for $42.
Shooter fans can pick up Battlefield V for $30 this week. Or, for just $20, you can get Far Cry 4, which will prepare you for its sequel, Far Cry New Dawn, set to release February 15. A pair of Assassin’s Creed titles, The Ezio Collection and Syndicate, are available for $20 each. Also $20 are Watch Dogs 2 and Tom Clancy’s The Division.
Sports fans of all kinds can get some nice discounts this week. FIFA 19 is down to $40, as are Madden NFL 19, NHL 19, and Tennis World Tour. For $20, you can pick up NBA Live 19 or UFC 3. And if you have a Switch, you can enjoy frisbee, skateboarding, and jet skiing in Sports Party for $20.
The miniature plug-and-play PlayStation Classic remains on sale for $60, down from $100; it comes with two controllers and a selection of 20 PS1 games. My Best Buy members can pre-order Anthem to receive $10 in rewards (you can sign up for free). Similarly, pre-ordering Kingdom Hearts 3 gets you $10 rewards and a free keychain.
