Thai ‘man with two heads’ wants to die to end suffering

A ‘man with two heads’ because of a massive growth sprouting from his ear says he wants to die to end his suffering. Jaroon Suanmali, 71, who lives in Thailand‘s Lopburi Province, first noticed the growth a decade ago.

He quickly ran out of money for the treatment and eventually left the hospital when doctors told him that it might clear up on its own.

But now the growth is so large that Mr Suanmali has trouble sleeping at night and by day he says he is ‘in incredible pain‘.

‘I sometimes wish someone would give me a load of pills and I would never wake up. They call me the man with two heads,’ said Mr Suanmali.

After news of his condition reached local media, reporters tracked Mr Suanmali to his home — a small metal hut in the sub-district of Thale Chupsorn, in Muang district.

Reporters discovered that Mr Suanmali is still working despite his illness and age, in an attempt to both sustain himself and pay for his treatment.

Though his sons have helped as much as they could, it still was not enough.

Now a local journalist has published details of an account to raise funds for the sick man.

However, Mr Suanmali added that he was not even sure if his condition could be treated now, even if the money is raised.

The nature of the growth remains a mystery. Mr Suanmali’s rapidly growing growth could be attributed to a condition known as Neoplasm.

In MailOnline reported how a newborn girl born with a giant balloon-like growth on her face could die unless she receives treatment soon, doctors fear.

Angelica Hail Heachanova, ten days old, from the Philippines, has the small red bubble protruding from her eyes — but its cause is also unknown.

The mass baffled doctors on the island of Boracay and, as with Suanmali, it has continued to grow and now resembles a large balloon attached to her face.
