Russia and Azerbaijan agreed to study the potential of the Goschadash bloc

Russia and Azerbaijan have adopted an agreement on joint exploration of the oil and gas potential of the Goshadash block in the northern part of the Apsheron Peninsula.

The document was signed following the talks between the presidents of the two countries Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev.

During the meeting, an action plan was also signed to develop key areas of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation (five road maps), an agreement on the development of economic cooperation, an agreement on cooperation in the field of registration of rights to real estate and cadastral activities.

The leaders of the two countries signed agreements on strengthening cooperation in the field of industry, on customs control of goods transported by power lines and pipeline transport, and on cooperation in the field of tourism and sports.

A memorandum on cooperation in the field of digital transport systems was adopted, as well as a protocol on cooperation in the field of combating customs offenses related to the movement of goods by air.

In addition, a contract was approved between Rosneft and SOCAR Trading SA

In addition, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between SOCAR, JSC REC and the bank GPB (joint-stock company) in the framework of joint implementation of projects in the field of supporting exports from Russia by the GPB Bank (AO) and an agreement on cooperation in the development of national assembly production of commercial vehicles GAZ in Azerbaijan between LLC «Automobile Plant GAZ» and OJSC «Azermash».

A plan (roadmap) was also approved for the implementation of activities within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the joint stock company «Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises» and a public legal entity «Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Republic of Azerbaijan.»

Putin and Aliyev signed a statement on economic cooperation

Russia and Azerbaijan signed a joint statement on priority areas for economic cooperation.

The document was signed following the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev.

«Russian President Vladimir Putin, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, are signing a joint statement on the priority areas of economic cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan,» noted during the ceremony.

In particular, the joint statement says that the leaders of the two countries proceed from the need to pay attention to the creation of the most favorable conditions for trade for the development of mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation, the increase of transit and transport potential in the Russian-Azerbaijani sections of international transport corridors using intellectual technologies transport systems, as well as the creation of joint ventures in the promising sectors of national economies and exports and for their diversification and innovative solutions in the field of development.

In addition, special attention is paid to issues related to the development of interaction on the introduction of innovative approaches in the field of public administration, including modern digital technologies in the fiscal sector, the exchange of experience and cooperation in the use of advanced software for use in the public sector, expansion of cooperation in humanitarian fields, including youth policy, education, sports and tourism.
