Football’s golden boy met with eight-year-old Ana Clara, who suffers from Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome, after a video request asking to meet her hero went viral.

The world’s most expensive footballer proved he has a heart of gold as Neymar made a young fan’s dreams come true on Tuesday.

The Paris Saint-Germain star duly answered the call, and was met with a massive hug when he turned up to meet the little girl.

The Brazil international posted pictures of himself and Ana Clara, including one of the pair holding up a T shirt with the message: ‘Dream as much as you can, always do. Never give up.’

Neymar posted the same message on Instagram alongside the pictures.

Progeria is an extremely rare genetic disease that affects 1 in 18million people across the globe.

The condition sees aspects of ageing, including hair loss, take hold at an early age and sufferers typically live to their mid-teens to early twenties.

Neymar, who was in his Brazil training wear to meet Ana Clara, will be back in action for his country on Tuesday evening, when he is expected to start against Chile.
