Northern beauty Michelle had been busy shooting the latest instalment of popular BBC series Our Girl in Malaysia, South Africa and Nepal for the past few months while Mark kicked off his new role in America.

Recently, the actress admitted to The Sun how the couple – who tied the knot in 2015 – couldn’t wait to see each other in December when she gets a break in her filming schedule.

And it appears that distance does makes the heart grow fonder as Mark admitted that he couldn’t wait to be reunited with his other half while commenting on her ‘incredible’ fitness shoot.

He shared: ‘Oh wow she looks so hot right? It’s not hard to make her feel body confident, just tell the truth and tell her when she looks sensational. I saw the shoot and she looked very very hot.

‘I can’t wait for her to get to LA.’

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for the presenter who has been interviewing the biggest names in Hollywood while covering the devastation following the Las Vegas Massacre that claimed the lives of 59 people and injured over 500 people.

Although landing the dream job, Mark was left unable to attend his cousin Elliott Wright’s nuptials to Sadie Stuart in September due to his work commitments and admitted he was left ‘devastated’ to miss his ‘best friend’s’ wedding.

‘I was devastated,’ he said. ‘He’s my cousin, he’s someone I’ve been so close to all my life, he’s like a best friend.

‘Having said that, I was in LA and I was on my own looking at social media and all my friends sending me messages, all my closet friends and family.

He added: ‘Of course I missed out massively but when I got the job I found out how much holiday time I get and I told him at the time it was going to be awkward and then I can let him know nearer the time.

‘But I was too busy at the time then I had to come to Vegas so it was just the wrong timing that I can’t just fly back for two days. I have to give certain notice for holiday time. I couldn’t do it, it was impossible. I tried my best.’

And Elliot previously admitted to MailOnline that he was very ‘supportive’ and ‘proud’ of Mark for pursuing his presenting gig in the States, even though it meant he would miss their big day.

Elliott explained: ‘He’s had the opportunity of a lifetime, we’re very close, very close, as close can be and when Mark rang me up to talk about the LA move I said “these oppor
tunities don’t come round very often”‘.

The restaurateur continued: ‘I said “if you cant make it to my wedding then that’s unfortunately one of the things you’re gonna have to take the hit on”. If he can [attend] I”ll be over the moon but if he can’t I accept that’s how it is and I’m proud of him.

‘I can’t knock him, I’m very supportive and I’m very proud of him and if he can be at our wedding then fantastic. If he cant I know he’ll be upset but it’s a career choice and I accept it.’
